Tiffany Arteaga Gonzalez is a mixed media and ceramics sculptor with a multifaceted background encompassing furniture design, mural painting, art education, and community engagement through public arts. She holds a BFA in Furniture Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and an MFA in Visual Art from Jacksonville University. Gonzalez's art swims in references to water—evidence of her connection and concern for the coast region of her birth, Jacksonville Florida.
Her work is included in the permanent collection at Jacksonville University and was most recently featured at the Wilson Center for the Arts at Florida State College at Jacksonville. As a Sculpture and Ceramics instructor at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida, Gonzalez shares her expertise and passion for mixed media sculpture with college-preparatory high school students and adults through conferences and higher education residencies.
Gonzalez also serves on the Board of Deck the Chairs, a seasoned 501(c)(3) organization that offers young artists opportunities to exhibit their work and perform for the community as part of a month-long arts event in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She has contributed her leadership to several other organizations, including the Art Elkland Art Center in North Carolina, the Duval Art Teachers Association, North East Florida Scholastic Art Awards and FemArt Gallery in Jacksonville.
Currently, she is collaborating with Tristen's Acceleration Academy to provide after-school enrichment opportunities through eco-adventures, art, and gardening. This initiative is part of a global outreach program focused on improving nutrition in food deserts.
